Following the success of her 2014 viral hit, “Glen Coco,” the stage was set for Chynna to make moves to secure a slot as one of the next gen of artists to blow. In 2015, her seven-track EP, I’m Not Here. This Isn’t Happening, generated solid buzz for the rapper and model as she revealed her darker side over melancholy production. Last month, Chynna celebrated her 22nd birthday with the release of Ninety, a "dizzyingly frank" six-track tape that also marked 90 days of sobriety via The Fader.
As a model, she most notably appeared in a major print campaign for DKNY. In an interview with NYLON, she described how deep the collaboration went: “I walked for them, did some campaigns, and performed at some shows. I even did some creative direction projects that never came to fruition. I love them to death.”
Chynna's vision, is much bigger than music. From writing/storyboarding her videos, to A&R work, she has big plans. She’s – quite obviously – not your average female MC [or MC for that matter]. As her fellow rapper boyfriend, Da$H says, “I don’t see her as a female MC anymore. She gives me a run for my money.”
